The Associated Press seeks a business writer for its Philadelphia
bureau.
This business writer will cover the Philadelphia region for state,
national and international wires. A major responsibility will be staying
on top of developments at Philadelphia-based Comcast Corp.
At least five years of experience covering business at a daily newspaper
or wire service is required. Must be able to produce stories from
earnings reports on quick deadlines and write company, industry and
consumer news and enterprise for a national audience. Must be able to
develop sources and produce accurate, aggressive and thorough reporting,
and strong and compelling writing. Applicants must understand bankruptcy
court and SEC filings. The ability to handle variety of AP bureau work
is required.
