ASSOCIATE PRODUCER/WRITER. This position on our morning broadcast, Good Day Colorado, will combine writing broadcast-style scripts with line-producing segments of the newscast. The ideal candidate is a factual, efficient and creative scriptwriter. Experience with guest booking and the ability to cultivate an extensive contact list is a plus. This is not an entry-level position. At least one year television news experience required. Ability to work under strict deadlines and ability to work flexible hours and shifts is essential. BA or equivalent with a major in broadcast journalism preferred. Rush resume and writing samples.
PHOTOJOURNALIST Qualified candidate must be a creative storyteller and a motivated team player with a minimum of two years experience in all related fields including ENG truck operations and non-linear editing. You’ll be shooting DVC PRO and editing on Panasonic NewsByte equipment. A clean driving record is a must. We take special pride in maintaining the highest photographic standards at our shop! SPORTS PRODUCER KDVR seeks a Producer/Editor/Reporter for our sports department. The primary functions of this position are producing and editing. There are opportunities to report for air and fill-in anchor, but these will occur on an as-needed basis. FOX 31 Sports is focused on professional teams, breaking stories and great video. Features are not usually part of our broadcast. Minimum 2 years television sports experience required. This is not an entry-level position. Please send tape and writing samples.
METEOROLOGIST/WEATHERCASTER. This is a full time position with the primary on-air duties on weekends and as fill-in for our M-F morning or 9pm newscasts. You will also play a key role in team coverage during severe weather situations and produce weather specials. The ideal candidate will be a trained Meteorologist with either AMS or NWA (or both) certification. Experience forecasting in the Rocky Mountain region is preferred. You must be flexible with your schedule and able to fill shifts with short notice. 3 years on-air television weather-casting experience required. Please send a non-returnable VHS tape and resume.
NEWSCAST PRODUCER (Morning Newscast). If you’re looking for a new and exciting challenge, this position on Good Day Colorado is for you. The ideal candidate is a line producer who has experience organizing and overseeing interviews with newsmakers, guest booking and can cultivate an extensive contact list. You must be creative, flexible and able to effectively delegate to a support staff. At least two years television news producing experience required. NEWSCAST PRODUCER (9pm Newscast). The ideal candidate will show examples of solid editorial decision-making, dynamic copy and tease writing, creative flair in assembling newscast elements and the ability to manage a fast-paced, hard news broadcast. We need a positive leader who can accept input and translate it into action. Ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple live resources is a must. The position requires a minimum of 3 years line producing experience. BA or equivalent in Journalism preferred. Send resume and tape.
VIDEOTAPE EDITOR. This position is for our morning newscast, Good Day Colorado. You must be able to quickly assemble and edit from multiple sources including local photographers and satellite news feeds. Experience with non-linear editing is required, and previous newsroom experience is preferred. Send resume and examples of your work.
