ASSIGNMENT DESK ASSISTANT. KDVR, The Fox Owned and Operated station in
Denver, Colorado has an immediate opening for an Assignment Desk
Assistant. Primary responsibilities include, organizing and planning for
the weekend newscasts, researching story ideas, cultivating sources,
assigning crews, and dispatching crews to breaking news. The person in
this position should have excellent multi-tasking skills, work well
under extreme pressure, and be pro-active in the news gathering process.
This position demands constant and complete communication with news
managers, field crews, producers, and other desk personnel. Preferred
experience: College degree and one year in a television newsroom. Send
