ASSIGNMENT EDITOR. Seeking a dynamic assignment desk editor. The
ideal candidate will show examples of aggressively pursuing spot news
and developing stories on a nightside shift. You must also be able to
effectively communicate with crews in the field and producers in the
station. Knowledge of newsroom computing systems, two-way radio
communications and satellite booking required. Must be able to assign
and track multiple news crews. Should actively cultivate sources for
story ideas. BA or equivalent experience required. At least 3 years
television news experience required.
