Weekend Executive Producer/Producer (Regular, Full Time Position)
Provide editorial direction, supervise the execution of assignments,
approve scripts, and watch newscasts critically for quality and
quantity. Will also train and mentor producers and associate producers.
Oversee breaking news and successfully implement signposts and
graphics. In addition, will supervise the news component of the
station’s website, carry out newsroom policies, and plan and execute the
details that make for winning newscasts. A four year college degree in
journalism or related field is preferred. A minimum of four years
television news producing experience required. Previous newsroom
management experience a plus. This position reports to the weekday
Executive Producer. Send tape of recently produced newscast.
