The Associated Press seeks an Editorial Assistant for the Business News
Department in New York City.

This person assists the editors and reporters of the Business News
Department, monitors incoming stories and news releases, prepares the
business news calendars, and moves various fixtures on currency and
commodities trading. This person also assists in miscellaneous clerical
tasks. There are some opportunities to pursue writing.

Candidates should be self-starters who are interested in a journalism
career. Good writing and communication skills, an attention to detail
and an ability to juggle multiple tasks are required. Some experience
with business news is preferred.
