Ideal candidates should be reporters who are: passionate about
exploring issues from politics to growth; organized to stay on top of
this busy beat; and aggressive about uncovering stories and holding
public officials accountable for their actions. The beat includes
coverage of the Winston-Salem City Council, the Housing Authority of
Winston-Salem and growth and development issues, with an emphasis on
downtown. We want a reporter with an eye for story, a passion for
news, a desire to pound a beat and a love of working sources for
news.
