FDC Reports, a division of Elsevier Health Sciences, is looking for freelance editors to cover business
developments affecting the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry in India. Coverage areas include:

* Major regulatory initiatives by the national and state governments, including, in particular,
changes in the drug approvals process and recalls

such as the in-licensing and out-licensing of products, and the outsourcing of manufacturing and R&D
* Drug pricing, reimbursement and insurance
* Intellectual property issues, especially as they relate to drug patents
* Clinical trials and other company product pipeline information

Our goal is to acquire important yet hard to get information about business and regulatory developments

Accordingly, we need reporters who are not only bi-lingual, but are also very proficient writing in English.

We are looking for 5 to 6 stories of approximately 600 words each week
and one longer story of 1,000 to 1,200 words (e.g., an exclusive interview
or profile of a significant business deal like a joint venture involving an Indian
harmaceutical company and global pharmaceutical co.)

Ideal candidates will reside near major pharmaceutical centers in India such as Mumbai,
Hyderabad or Chennai. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is helpful, but not required.
Please submit a resume and cover letter detailing your interest in the position
