Education:
College degree in related field or previous commercial radio background news, preferred.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; digital audio editing; strong radio news reporting, writing and on-air newscast delivery skills; strong problem solving abilities; high work ethics, news judgment and production skills; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; ability to read and decipher news source material; operate studio equipment; spotless driving record.

Experience:
Radio on-air background; college radio accepted if newscast work is included.

Duties:
Write and edit hourly newscasts, sportscasts, headlines, possible traffic reports, severe weather coverage; generate story ideas; cultivate news sources and provide editorial support; monitor emergency police and fire scanners; other duties as assigned by manager.
