Education:
High school diploma required; college degree in related field preferred.
Skills:
Candidate must be detail oriented and possess excellent strong radio anchoring skills; knowledge and experience with country music; excellent communication and delivery skills; ability to work well under pressure; ability to read and decipher news source material; strong problem solving abilities; computer proficiency.
Experience:
Previous on-air radio experience required, Classic Country or Country experience preferred.
Duties:
Run audio board; air live call-ins and remote broadcasts; record elements for later broadcasts as needed; conduct daily air shifts and other duties as assigned; position can include part-time hours with other Journal Broadcast Group stations within the Wichita Operations.

News Anchor/Reporter

Education:
Previous commercial radio background news, preferred.

Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; digital audio editing; strong radio news reporting, writing and on-air newscast delivery skills; strong problem solving abilities; high work ethics, news judgment and production skills; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; ability to read and decipher news source material; operate studio equipment; spotless driving record; ability to cover breaking news overnight and interact with emergency responders; possible severe weather coverage.

Experience:
Radio on-air background; college radio accepted if newscast work is included.

Duties:
write and edit hourly newscasts, sportscasts, headlines, possible traffic reports, severe weather coverage; generate story ideas; cultivate news sources and provide editorial support; monitor emergency police and fire scanners; other duties as assigned by manager.
