DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and/or technical direct live and recorded segments with team discretion of final news production process.
Operate and maintain working knowledge of production equipment such as SONY switcher, DEKO character generator, remote controlled cameras, audio board, still store, DV videotape machines, computers and various automation systems.
Prioritize workload based on communication with producers.
Review final on-air product to assure high quality, notify producers of any potential editorial problems.
Communicate any technical issues effectively to Sr. Director and Operations Manager.
Provide Cross-Training when needed.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors and customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum college degree or technical school training preferred. Two or more years television Technical Directing combo experience preferred, preferably non-linear editing, linear tape editing a plus. Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules as well as overtime when called for by operational need. Demonstrates self-motivation and able to perform effectively and independently in a multi-tasking environment. Must be detail oriented and produce work with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and organized manner both verbally and in writing. Ability to think through a problem, analyze and break it down into parts to resolve or come up with a logical solution. Ability to be watchful, anticipate and act quickly with good judgment. Experience with computerized automation and news systems preferred.
