Media Studies: The Catholic University of America seeks a one-year
Visiting Assistant Professor in Media Studies to begin September 1,
2008. CUA’s Department of Media Studies offers an interdisciplinary
undergraduate major with a humanities focus. Teaching load is six
courses over two semesters (some duplicative), including Introduction
to Media Studies and Media and History (both lower-level core
courses), an upper level seminar tailored to one’s own research
interests, and/or a media studies elective. Service in support of the
major is expected. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant
area and have a proven record of excellence in teaching and scholarly
