Producer / Reporter

Job Description
Assumes a leadership role within a creative team to produce and report stories and create programming for a channel dedicated to live, local sports and news and information community programming. Assumes role as a principle on-camera talent for live and taped programming and as a company representative in the community.
–Acts as the producer, writer and supervisor of crew for live or taped video productions by organizing the program elements; and works with production crew to organize necessary technical means and personnel requirements to accomplish the task.
–Acts as on-camera reporter for live or taped programming, and may act as program host of live or taped programming
–Responsible for high-priority, externally visible projects by executing consistently high-quality products.
–Copy edits scripts and works with other producers, writers and production personnel to improve and refine the elements of programs to conform to specific quality standards and time requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
–College degree or post-graduate studies in journalism, reporting and producing for television or film.
–Minimum 3-years experience in on-camera reporting/anchoring.
–Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
–Creative track record demonstrated through an audition reel or prior reporting/producing and production projects.
–Experienced in on-line and non-linear editing to support instruction and guidance of the editing of productions.
–Excellent and proven writing skills for television news/feature reporting and producing.
–Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to successfully interface with co-workers and diverse community members.
–A working knowledge of composition and pictorial continuity and audio to tell a story with competitive style and high-quality standards in final product.
–Proven time-management skills for self and ability to work under deadline pressure without sacrificing quality.
