Dow Jones Newswires is seeking a reporter to cover investment banking activity in Asia, focusing on equity deals such as M&As and IPOs.

The position, to be based in Hong Kong, will require a highly motivated journalist who is able to generate scoops on deals across the region and enjoys working in a high-profile, competitive beat. The role also involves writing analytical stories and ground-breaking features on key trends on the M&A front and the equities capital markets, tracking people’s movement in the industry and assisting other reporters in the region in covering deals in their own markets.

Experience covering the financial services industry or M&As is desirable while a proven ability to break news, generate story ideas and work as part of a team will be a plus.
