Florida–Videographer for Sun-Sentinel
Multimedia Producer - The South Florida Sun Sentinel and SunSentinel.com are looking for a versatile video editor and videographer to join our multi-dimensional team.
This person should have strong video editing skills and the ability to quickly turn over a high volume of quality videos for the Web and television. The applicant also should have experience shooting broadcast-quality video. Still photography skills are a plus.
A journalism background and experience in television, web and/or print journalism is preferred. The applicant should have a clear vision for how video works on the Web and the ability — through editing or shooting — to capture the essence of a good story in video.
This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to quickly set priorities in a fast-paced environment. The applicant needs to be a team player and show flexibility and a willingness to adjust work schedules and handle breaking news or unexpected assignments.
Extensive experience in video-editing software, such as Final Cut Pro, is a necessity. Experience in photo-editing applications, such as Photoshop, and Internet content management systems is a plus. Understanding of various video formats, codecs, and experience in a television news environment also is a plus.
A relocation package is not offered for this position.
