Dow Jones seeks a Copy Editor for APAC Newswires.
Dow Jones Newswires is looking for a Copy Editor to join its NewsPlus team, which compiles the
Web-based front page for Dow Jones Newswires. The successful candidate will join a group of Web
editors who choose the best breaking news and analysis stories from across Dow Jones and present
them in summary form for busy traders and financial advisors. This copy editor will work on various
specialty NewsPlus pages, each targeting different customer groups, and will be integral in making
the pages relevant, timely and indispensable to those customers. The editor will work with text, video,
audio and graphics. He/She will be based somewhere in the Asia-Pacific region.
Candidates must have sharp news judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly and with
minimal supervision. Previous Web, audio, video and graphic design skills, as well as any experience
editing business or finance content is preferred. We want a candidate who is highly self-motivated and
sincerely interested in a career in financial journalism and Internet publishing.
