of August onwards.
We want someone with sound editorial judgement.
Tasks would include routine office duties, maintaining a planning diary,
booking guests, covering premieres, conducting interviews, writing scripts
and supervising the editing of packaged reports on Final Cut Pro.
Familiarity with BBC network Technical Review requirements — and related
paperwork - would also be desirable.
The programme has a very small budget so this is an opportunity for someone

Discovering Ganesh, a multi-faceted Indian cultural project launched in 2004 about the Hindu elephant-headed God Ganesh. He is known as the Remover of Obstacles, The Lord of Beginning and the Patron of the Arts.Discovering Ganesh includes a multimedia exhibition (photos, video shorts, soundscape) scheduled to openat the Rubin Museum of Art, New Yorkin the fall of 2009; a high-end coffee table photography book showcasing images of Ganesh around the world; several related websites and adventure tours.The goal ofDiscovering Ganeshis to educate Americans about the cultural aspects of India using Ganeshas the entry point and to inspire people to travel to “Incredible India” (name of the India Tourism Board) for a first hand experience.

This position works in a team environment at MTV News, MTVNews.com and MTV Overdrive doing digital production around broadband video content. Required Qualifications

Since this position works with video and video editing for various platforms (video podcasting and broadband video), candidate should also be proficient with non-linear video editing systems (Avid and/or FinalCut) and ideally have demonstrable experiencing cutting video, professionally or personally. Candidate should be able to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing news environment, paying close attention to detail. Most important is a propensity for new technologies and the ability to pick up new skills and systems quickly.
