News Executive Producer

NBC10 in Philadelphia is looking for an Executive Producer who’s ready to take our newscasts to the next level.
Responsibilities
The Executive Producer will have the responsibility for the oversight of a daily newscast. The EP will conceive and execute daily programs incorporating top news stories and live reports. The EP must be adept at working under tight deadlines, be a proven supervisor of producers, writers and on-air production staff, review daily line-up of stories and segments, develop future segments, stories and interviews for all NBC10 platforms. The EP will collaborate with the Creative Services department on daily topical promotions, graphic production and art direction. The EP will be work with NBC News to assure compliance with all relevant laws and company policy on broadcasts and news operations.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years experience as a television news producer. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience writing in a broadcast format. The qualified candidate will have proficiency in MS office suite products and iNews. Qualified candidates will posses at least a bachelors degree in journalism, communications, media or equivalent subject.
Desired
The qualified candidate will have leadership capability and or prior experience managing a news team. The successful candidate will possess strong journalistic skills with a creative approach to story telling and problem solving and the ability to make priority decisions under deadline pressures. The candidate must be well-versed in the latest digital newsgathering and production trends and be able to develop content for analog, web-based and digital-based formats. The candidate must be able to move quickly on breaking news and deploy crews with confidence.

Responsibilities
Conceive and execute news coverage and make front line editorial decisions on a story-by-story basis. Facilitate the news gathering process and ensure comprehensive coverage of all news stories. Develop and monitor journalistic and editorial elements of news gathering in the field. Dispatch news crews, field producers and reporters. Supervise news gathering crews. Communicate with productions staff on the status of coverage and stories. Develop and cultivate contacts within the community for news stories. Cooperate with and support NBC News, Newschannel and other TVSD O&O stations.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience on an assignment desk or within a newsroom in a Nielsen top ten television market a must. Bachelors degree required.

Candidate must be a self-starter with excellent telephone/communication skills. Must possess the ability to problem solve, prioritize decisions and act decisively under tight deadlines. Must react quickly and aggressively in breaking news situations. Must possess strong journalistic skills, strong news judgment and good instincts. Must be flexible with work schedule. Job Purpose: Director is responsible for the financial performance and operations of NBC 10 Philadelphia.
Job Responsibilities:
* Duties for the Director include financial controllership and reporting for the combined entities.
* The finance director is responsible for leading the strategic planning process and its tactical implementation (i.e. Session II and Operating Plan).
* Provides analysis and recommendations to business team to drive stations’ goals.
* Finance responsibilities include capital spending, accounting policies, B/S, I/S and CF preparation.
* Create and review contracts including leases, trade deals, programming and local partnerships.
* Work closely with GMs to find financial solutions to meet strategic goals.
* Create an environment that lives integrity and GE values.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance is required
* Minimum 7 years of prior finance leadership experience in accounting and/or financial management. This includes:
*Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts and variance analysis
* Supervising and leading a team of finance managers and/or individual contributors
* Prior relevant experience working in Excel and PowerPoint.
