Effects required. Experience editing on Avid Adrenaline or similar

Position: D.C. Assignment Editor/Producer – Fox Business Network

Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to operate the Fox Business Network-Washington, D.C. bureau assignment desk operation. This person will direct DC-based reporters, producers and camera crews to carry out the daily newsgathering of Fox’s business news channel, and will research, plan and coordinate coverage of future events on Capitol Hill and at the White House, SEC, Treasury and Labor Departments, Federal Reserve, and other venues in the Washington, DC area. This position will work closely with Fox Business Network headquarters in New York, and with the Fox News assignment desk operations in Washington and New York, to coordinate resources as appropriate.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years assignment desk and or planning desk experience
Good editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills
Working knowledge of Washington-based financial newsmaking sources such as the Federal Reserve, Treasury Department, Labor Department, SEC, the White House and Congress
The ability to work well in a fast paced and intense atmosphere
Willingness and ability to travel on short notice
Familiarity with iNews
Flexibility to work various shifts when needed
Motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Some knowledge of fiber connectivity for the Washington, DC area a plus

Position: Production Assistant, Fox Business Network

Responsibilities:
Seeking Production Assistants to assist Producers in selecting the most compelling video. Duties include but are not limited to: running scripts, finding and editing footage, research assignments, and greeting guests.

Requirements:
· Candidate must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent writing and communication skills
· Must be able to work overnights/weekends
· Bachelor’s degree and solid knowledge of current events are required
· Demonstrated understanding of business news
· Basic knowledge of newsroom functions a must
· Internship in television news required
