Are you morning person? A really early morning person? We need a talented co-anchor who can help us maintain our 53HH share in Alaska`s dominant morning newscast.
We’re looking for a co-anchor who can help produce and deliver the newscast as well as Today Show updates. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and energetic anchor with solid news judgement.
Most of the heavy producer load is handled by your co-anchor who works an overnight shift. Along with your morning anchor duties you would be expected to turn a weekly franchise piece such as a health or business report for the evening newscasts.
Yes, winters are tough getting started in the cold and dark. A cheery disposition is a must. Summers are easier with nearly 24 hours of daylight.
It’s a small but dedicated team which owns the time slot. We`re adding staff as we prepare to expand to 90 minutes.
We’re the 2008 NPPA Station of the Year, committed to quality journalism and enjoying what we do.
Downside: Getting up at 2am. Upside: All day to fish or ski!
