Atlanta’s Gannett owned NBC affiliate, WXIA-TV, and My Network TV, WATL-TV is searching for an experienced online producer. This position is responsible for the content, accuracy and organization of news stories on 11Alive.com, including the words, pictures and graphics. Editing, rewriting, advancing broadcast news stories for use on the Web as well as the ability to manage many types of entertainment, video and user-generated content required. The Web Producer will also manage various tasks by writing and editing original content multiple priorities under deadline. Follow up with TV news reporters, producers and supervisors, as well as with other Web producers. Must be able to troubleshoot, handle pressure well and perform other duties as required by the manager.

Ideally, this person should have a minimum of three to five years of experience in journalism, including producing newscasts in a medium size market. The candidate should have knowledge of the changing deadlines and workflow of newsrooms. Top candidates must have excellent news judgment, writing skills, and knowledge of AP style. This position requires someone with initiative and who requires little supervision. Knowledge of HTML and Photoshop are important.

The ideal candidate is experienced with both web production and video production. He or she should be excited by the possibilities afforded by new technologies and platforms, interested in visual/video storytelling, and passionate about journalism that appeals to the MTV News audience. This is a 2 month position with the possibility for extension.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

–Encoding/digitizing MTV News packages in a timely fashion, under shifting deadlines and pressures

–Assistant video and audio editing as needed

–Working with a high-performing, creative team, executing all Web-side broadband production. Duties include but are not limited to: photo selection and photo editing, html production, database uploading, media transfer, QA, online publishing, and digital archiving.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have experience with Web site production including knowledge of HTML and Photoshop and familiarity with web publishing and content management systems. Since this position works with video and video editing for various platforms (video podcasting and broadband video), candidate should also be proficient with non-linear video editing systems (Avid and/or FinalCut) and ideally have demonstrable experiencing cutting video, professionally or personally. Candidate should be able to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly changing news environment, paying close attention to detail. Most important is a propensity for new technologies and the ability to pick up new skills and systems quickly.

Television Host and On-Air Reporters

DLI/ScribeStudio is looking for a host and on-air reporters for a 13
episode healthcare talk show on an established cable network.

The format is loosely based on Charlie Rose meets Meet the Press
meets the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer meets 60 Minutes. Before reading
further, contemplate “loosely”. We expect candidates for either
position to significantly contribute to the direction of the
show/series.

Episodes will be filmed in our New York studio. You will have the
opportunity to mold/shape the format.

The general theme is the state of American healthcare from the
